Simple Mythology[]
Sister of Aglauros and Pandrosos, the three were given a willow basket that contained the infant Erichthonius (who was meant to be the future king, and bred to become immortal by Goddess Athena) with warning never to open it. Herse and Aglauros opens the basket, became insane from the sight, and jumped to their deaths off the Acropolis.
